The Anti-Ageing Eyebrow

Monday, September 12, 2011

This morning I read a very interesting anti-ageing tip that I thought I would share with you today. According to the lovely makeup artist, Caroline Barnes we should ditch all the overpriced wrinkle serums and concentrate on creating a strong and thick brow instead. She believes that a full eyebrow creates a beautifully strong frame for your eye, plus it adds an overall strength to your face that results in turning back the clock on ageing.

Darlings, what do you think about this tip? Do you groom your brows regularly? xo

i couldn't agree more! i've been wanting big brows for ages now, but unfortunately i have a whacky natural shape, which forces me to have a thinner brow. bummer... but all you ladies with big brows, go for it! i think the key to pulling off this look is nailing a great shape and keeping them well manicured. great post, diana!

I like strong brows and the tip is so true. I wish I could have brows like the last girl: thick and beautiful.

Better than Botox!

I absolutely adore thick brows. Mine are so thin and like 2 tones lighter than my hair. So unfair!

Oh, I like this! I need to get into an appointment with a brow specialist ASAP.

That totally makes sense and more cost efficient too!

Great tip, however I do need both at this point, so the anti aging creams are also a must!

I am a groomer but usually just keeping it clean and trimmed. I do like the look of a bigger/ bushier eyebrow.

Every once in awhile I'll so an eyebrow overhaul.

Totally makes sense. Actually if you notice Indian women really age late ... only post 60! My Mother In law/Mother ... all in late 50's but looking not a year older than probably 40!

That's so interesting - I've never heard that tip before. I have pretty thick eyebrows already, so I guess I should just stop grooming them :) Less work for me!

this is interesting. i have mine waxed every 4 weeks, but maybe i'll have her thicken them up a bit!

Mary, such a great point!!! I agree that for fuller brows you must shape them to perfection and keep them well manicured. Thanks:)

Tiffany, me too and Alexa, so true! It's really cost efficient.

That is really interesting, Tanvi and I bet both: your mom and your mother-in-law are beautiful:)

No! I never pluck my eyebrows anymore until there's one WAYYYY out thar away from the browline. Natural looks best!

I just looked at my high school pic and those eyebrows had to go, lol
Pass the wrinkle serum please.

Yes, depends how it's done. Sometimes it can look MANNISH, though, non?

Thick eyebrows are amazing, but I think that it is not a look that everyone can pull.

I've never messed with my eye brows. And now I have a reason not to!

TOTALLY AGREE! And love the images you picked for this post. I get mine threaded but really just to remove the strays I always remind them to keep them natural and not take too much off.
