Summer Snacking Tip

Tuesday, August 23, 2011

Lovelies, can I let you in on my little summer snack obsession? A few months ago Lexi  had a great tip on freezing dried berries. So last month when the fresh blueberry season kicked in, I wanted to try how would it taste frozen. I loved it so much that I swapped munching on ice cubes to fresh-frozen blueberries and I never looked back :). I buy them per kilo at the market and freeze them right away. They are really refreshing and 100 grams of fresh berries contain only 57 calories. Win-win! Sweets, what are you snacking on this summer? xo

P.S: Blueberry cheesecake bars .Yum!

Wow that sounds good! :)
When I was younger we would buy fresh produce and freeze it for smoothies later! It totally locks in the fullest flavors from the hight of season!

Oh, cheesecake bars sound so much more appealing.

I remember eating frozen grapes all the time as a kid. They were so good after swimming in the 100 degree heat.

I also love BB's but this summer I've been obsessing over fresh figs and I just posted about it today! Summer is so rich with delicious bounty :)

I used to do this with grapes. I'll have to try it out with blueberries now...actually this is totally perfect for me. I LOVE the taste of blueberry, but I hate eating the actual berries. It grosses me out how they pop and ooze when you eat them. BUT frozen ones wouldn't do that! I'm pretty excited about this :) Thanks for sharing!
