Magical Golden Gate Bridge Elopement

Monday, August 29, 2011

Sigh...For their special day Julie and Philipp opted for a very private elopement with a fantastic view. The ceremony took place on the Golden Gate Bridge and in true San Francisco fashion, the day couldn't be complete without the mysterious fog. Don't they look happy and totally in love?

Darlings, what's your dream wedding: a traditional style, a City Hall ceremony or an elopement? Which did you go with on your special day? xo

We had a traditional church service with the reception on a deck at a beautiful resort in Sedona, Az. It was gorgeous but I wanted to get married on top of a hill in Ireland with just our parents and few close friends. He comes from a VERY large family so it didn't work out that way but it was just one day and every single one since has been magical :)

This is gorgeous!!
What a background to say I do in

ours was traditional
I would have loved to have had it in the fall surrounded in leaves and crackling firelight but there is always a vow renewing option right??

Amy, you should totally do it! It sounds so beautiful. My friends are renewing their vows in December on their 10th wedding anniversary. I can't wait. It's always so romantic.

Jeanette, your comment melts my heart!!! Top of a hill in Ireland would be fantastic for sure but resort in Sedona, Az sounds equally romantic.

What beautiful pictures!! I tend to lean towards a traditional wedding, but with a "me" twist, of course :) xo

Oh, what complete swoons! That fog is beyond perfect! What beautiful photos and beautiful couple.
I'd say a traditional wedding...but I wouldn't be opposed to a wedding "elopement" this luxurious.

Happy week to you!

I loved every moment of my wedding and sharing it with family and friends. But sometimes I wished I eloped so I could focus more on my Husband.
