Home Inspiration: Bar Cart

Thursday, May 19, 2011

This summer Balazs and I are planning to jazz up our flat with a super cool bar cart! Lately whenever we have people over it's a drag to carry all the cocktail mixes and wine bottles from the kitchen to the living room but by having a clever little bar station this wouldn't be an issue. I really like those above, especially the first vintage laundry cart turned portal cocktail bar or the wooden tray on a vintage suitcase. My Loves, I would love to know your thoughts on this. Do you have a bar station in your home? Or would you like to? If you have it, does it serve its purpose? Any tips where to look for one? xo

P.S: Fancy drinks print and my favouirte summer cocktail! What's yours?

What a good idea, I agree, we don't have a bar, and it would be so nice to have a place for pouring drinks near our guests. Thanks for all the great ideas. By the way, a great summer cocktail is a Blood Orange Prosecco drink.

Stephen has always wanted one of these, but we don't drink very often. I like the cart with a lamp on it. Now THAT we could swing.

Fancy that! Would never think to have one - but they look so cool in these homes. Love the idea of having a bar, though!

I love the first one too.
No, no bar in this home, baby and bar just don't go together.
We keep the boos up in the freezer and the glasses on the highest shelf in the kitchen.
Maybe in 19 years we can have a bar cart, lol
Have a great time enjoying yours this summer, have a drink for me!

We have an old victrola that's been gutted and lovingly restored/turned into a bar cart. Though, truth be told, it's mostly for looks, because we always seem to carry everything to the kitchen to mix drinks. xo.

I love the cart with the huge wheels. It's like a little mobile speak-easy.

I love the second to last one with the big wheel. So whimsical! Aren't bottles so charming?

I would love one. If my dog didn't have such a strong long tail I would!

I could not have booze sitting out like that ... it would be too distracting and I'd get nothing done.

All of these are so adorable, but I love the trunk!

Love these! We have a bar but it's overflowing so I've been thinking of getting a little barcart to let it spill onto :)

Happy Thursday, lovely! xoxo

I have been on the look for a vintage bar cart! A friend has one that I absolutely love/secretly want. I think they add so much to a room! Can't wait to see the one you find :)

Can I just say that I adore your blog! And I too have been searching for the perfect bar cart. I love Restoration Hardware's but it's a bit pricey. Love the idea of using a tray on a trunk, although I do love a glass bar cart! Can't wait to see what you end up with!

I really love the look of this! It's classy and I think it would give a lot of interest to a room with all the glass bottles and different colored drinks.

these are SO cool and as soon as I graduate from toddlerhood- I would love to have one of these in my house..LOVE the look and also very functional.
For now- we keep the booze in a beautiful wood/glass cabinet where we store all our wine glasses and everything...actually its a pretty nice piece of furniture.
Hope you find something fab for your apt.

My fiance and I need to invest in one of these, too. Right now our "bar" consists of bottles in a kitchen cabinet! :(
