What's your hangover remedy?

Thursday, April 21, 2011
My Loves, thank you for all the sweet comments yesterday! I had a blast reading them and it's nice to know that many of you are happily in love!

Balazs and I had a wonderful time yesterday celebrating, but this morning it feels like we had a bit too much fun (and wine), because my head is about to explode (do you know the feeling?). I remember my dad always used to say: eat eggs or bananas, that will do the trick. But our friend swears on banana frappé! So, darlings, I would love to know, what's your hangover cure?  I'm ready to try anything:) xo

Good one! Love the picture to go with your title. I drink water along side wine or just before going to bed. My other remedy, babies. hungover and baby = no fun. So I haven't drank enough for a hangover for a long time.

I take it you had a good celebration last night. Good girl. The best hangover cure is: a Whopper and a full fat coke.
I will sit quietly and wait for te carb police to come and arrest me ;-)

Vitamin Water or Emergengen-C. Also, popsicles, smoothies, and just about any fried food:)

eating plenty of things that are bad for you, preferably fried :) hot chips are the best!

if you had a brilliant time the night before, the hangover is always worth it!

PS. Fatastic picture, btw. Makes me giggle!

Ugh - a bad hangover is just the worst! I used to always swear by curly fries and a soda, but boyfriend promises that getting a bunch of cut fruit will make you feel so much better than fried goods!

Either way, lots of water and pain meds always work!

I drink water and two advils the same night I have been drinking. The next day I usually just feel foggy but have little to no headache at all (unless I forget to do that)

Coconut Water and M&Ms! :) But if you can just go back to bed, that's probably the best! xoxo

How timely! I have one too this morning and am trying to nurse myself better. I truly believe feeding the hangover is key. I'm just about to eat an egg sandwich and a large tomato juice. That usually does the trick :) Feel better, sweetie! xoxo

Anything with grease. The real trick is to have fries while the night of (right before you hit the sack).

I LOVE that Picture! So fitting!

My go-to cure is lil sips of Sprite/7-up, lil nibbles of crackers, some water AND minimal movements.

Feel better soon!

Love the pic! LOTS of water and a breakfast of biscuits and gravy!

I need to take note of all these hangover remedys....I haven't drank any alcohol for about two years (pregnant + breastfeeding) and I know that the first time I drink again, the after effects will not be pretty!

HAHAHA! that polar bear photo is AMAZING. made me smile! :)

When I am hung over, which doesnt happen often but when I use to, I'd just rent a crap load of movies, get chips, and lay in bed recover slowly! :)

Diana Mieczan said...

You all are amazing!!! Thank you for all the tips! I feel so much better after trying some of them:)

Diana Mieczan said...

Megan, a chocolate croissant sounds so yummy right now:)

haha i love that pic! this sounds crazy..but my mom swears by drinking a beer! I know, when you're hungover, drinking alcohol is the last thing you want to do..but she says it works! I usually go for a big, greasy breakfast with strong coffee!

This is a brilliant topic girl!! I need to print off these suggestions ;-)

This is what I do: gatorade + combo of asprin & ibuprophen + food (to soak up the alchol of course!) + a cold cloth on your head. Which should = some relief!! ;-) Too bad this receipe doesn't come in pill form!

The biggest, greasiest cheeseburger you can find, a HUGE regular Coke, a comfy couch to eat it on while laying down, and an icepack :D

Crap... now I want a cheeseburger.

This is probably too late, but I always go for a Pho. It does the trick for colds and a hangover for me ;)

OMGOSH!!! that is just TOOOO CUTE!

Lots of fluids (water/juice), bananas/eggs/bread are all good. For me, it's all about the grease. All my friends in L.A. swear by it and taught me: cheeseburger and french fries, every time:-) xoxo
