Darlings, do you believe in destiny? Balazs and I were just talking about it this morning that exactly nine years ago today, I packed up my two suitcases and moved countries to live with Balazs after about a year of long distance dating. It was a sunny Saturday morning and I remember feeling really excited, nervous and a bit crazy for moving to a place where I didn't even speak the language.
Since then Balazs and I moved three times and got two adorable dogs. My sweets, how about you? Are you married, single or engaged? Maybe dating someone special? Or is it complicated? xo

Oh, the pics are so adorable! Congrats to you and Balazs on going strong for so long! XX
Cute pics! I adore stories like yours. I met my crazy man almost 4 years ago. He lived just a 5 minute bike ride away ;-) We moved in 2 years ago when we bought a fantastic appartment, I do realise what a lucky b*tch I am!!! Feel blesses every day!
This is such a sweet story--it really made me smile.
I love it when it works out for a couple.
Cheers to you both~*
Love all the wonderful old photos, Diana!

Here is to nine happy years and many more! I wonder where you were from (santa white a brown beard? :)) and where you are writing from now.
My partner currently lives and works in his home country (turkey); I am from another country and my kids are born American. It is tough when he is gone and it is though when he is here. haha.
That is a wonderful post Diana!
I don't even know where you live, I assume it is in the US?
Such beautiful love story you have!
We are married 4 years exactly yesterday! and our daughter - Mili is turning 3 in May. Living happily Down Under :)

I wouldn't say that I believe in destiny but I do love stories like yours :) So I am going to give you mine aswell.
Seven years ago I spoke to an old friend about seeing eachother again after 2 years. She lived 60 km away so I had to take the train. This was supposed to happened a saturday but for some reason we decided to see eachother on friday instead. Since I am used to commute I NEVER ever miss a train. But this time I missed my train and I had to wait another hour for the next to arrive. After arriving to her hometown something got in the way and she couldn't pick me up at the trainstation so she sent her boyfriend. Me and her boyfriend decided to stop by the gasstation before going back to their house.
In the mean time my husband (to be) had worked late. He should have quit work at 16 but didnt drive home until 20.00 Arriving home he realised that he had forgot the keys at work(!) and so he drove back to get them. When returning back he was tired and decided to stop by the gas station to get something to eat. It turned out that my husband and my friends boyfriend knew eachother since they had worked together. And so there we were on that friday at exactly 21.06 outside the gas station saying hello for the first time. Later that evening we eneded up at the same party and after that we were inseparable. We spent the whole weekend together :) 6 months later we moved in togheter. /L

What a romantic love story!
We're in the midst of planning our wedding for this November!
Have a wonderful day!
Love this - such a sweet and romantic story! I was dating my helpmeet for five years (and we'd been living together for 3) when I found out I was accepted into grad school in another country. We talked about it for weeks and, rather than doing long distance, we decided to get married so he could come and live with me...that was five years and we're never looked back!

In 2 days I'll be celebrating 5 years of marriage! We've known each other since fall of 1995 (when he transferred to my school in the 7th grade) and went on our first date in August of 1998, when we were about to start our sophomore year of high school. Crazy. :-)
congrats, such sweet pictures. I am so happy for you.

I do believe in fate, to an extent. I believe that you get presented with opportunities that could change your life and it's up to you to seize those opportunities. I am so glad your seized yours with Balazs!

this is super sweet. i love it :)
Oh my god. I so need to pick your brain! I haven't blogged about this yet, but the real reason I'm moving to Australia is to be with someone! One of my best guy friends is from there, and we've been friends for 8 years. But this past month we realized we love each other like nothing else, and we have to be together! He says he's loved me since the day he met me, when we were both in Scotland on working holiday visas. And we've decided this is it. And he can't leave Oz because he's finishing up his masters degree, so I'm going over there. But it'll be 9 months before I can go and see him again. And although I'm nervous and excited, sometimes I get so overwhelmed at the sheer notion that I'm going 9 months in a long distance something, after only a month of spending time together as a couple! Even though we skype, because of the time difference, it's always on his lunch and it's never for long, and it doesn't really take the place of actually being with him. To be honest, I've been freaking out a lot. Even though it'll be worth it in the long run, right now it's so insanely tough and lonely and it's only been a month since I've seen him!
so sweet! Love the pictures. I am married.:)
Here's to love and happiness and strong relationships! :) Congrats, Dear Diana :)

Aww you and the hubby are SO cute!! And you are so brave for having made that initial move.
I've been married just about 20 years (this Sept) and we joke that he stalked me. I guess I walked into The Vogue (nightclub) on a Thursday (don't know why I was out on a Thursday) He saw me as soon as I came in and kept his eyes on me. We spoke briefly and I was off dancing. I was leaving and he followed me out to my car. I wouldn't give him my number so he pulled his out of his pocket already written on a napkin. I teased him about it but still took the number. That night I dreamt of my life with him knowing we would be together.
I love your pictures. So sweet that you took the leap to follow your heart.
Congrats! Z & I celebrate 11 years of being together this year, and 5 years of married life. :)
