B.E.L.T. Sandwich

Thursday, April 7, 2011

Balazs and I are having those overly-busy-no-time-for-proper-cooking type of weeks, so after spotting this B.E.L.T. sandwich on kiss my spatula we're indulging in sandwich eating and this one is our favourite so far! Yesterday we even had it with a homemade Itailan bread  that my friend Liz made for us:) Darlings, what is your meal choice during busy times? xo

P.S: Love!

And enjoy your afternoon :)

That sandwich looks delicious! My quick fix meals are fried egg sandwich & soup, kraft dinner (yep, I still enjoy this!) and sometimes a bowl of airpopped popcorn. Now I need to go eat.

I'll have one of those, hold the bacon. This vegetarian cannot stop eating egg salad sandwiches.

That looks so yummy! I like doing a twist on the BLT called a CLT - the "C" being fried provolone cheese. But now I have to add an egg to that and see how it tastes!

Hi sweet Diana!!

Like Sara, I say yes to the vegetarian sandwich option, so yummy!!!
I know it´s not very original idea but a pasta dish is always my choice when I´m busy and have no time to cook :)

Have a nice day!!!

Oh, yum! An egg and cheddar sandwich is one of my go-to meals when I'm busy, but this looks so much more decadent. Bacon tends to do that. :)

Yum! My grandmother used to make a variation on this with bacon, egg and tomato sandwiches with mayonnaise on the bread, which might sound odd, but it was really good...my parents made them for what we called a backwards dinner from time to time growing up too, but I haven't had it in years...now I think I should try it again! :)

I barely started getting into cooking this past three months because I've been living on sandwiches most of my adult life. I just love 'em! This is no exception.. B(E)LT's are the way to my heart :)

i had a bacon, egg and cheese this morning. goodness, i should have added lettuce! blts are the best. hands down. and, i've noticed, usually one of the cheapest things on a menu! double score.

YUM! Looks delicious! Like you, I think sandwiches are great for times when I don't have time for proper cooking. I own a panini press and LOVE to make toasted sandwiches with delicious melty cheese.

Your "I'm too busy for cooking" is a delicious looking BLT. Mine is nutella. With a few pretzels, to serve as a dipping vehicle. I've been known to just take a spoon of nutella to the face before.

Diana Mieczan said...

I love eating nutella with a spoon:)

This looks so delicious!! Last night, I didn't get home until 8, so it was take-out for us :) Can't wait to try this though!

I have to tell you that this has been my "go to" sandwich lately...esp on the weekends. It just fills me up and the bacon (which I rarely eat) adds so much flavor. I don't have it with tomato but may try that.Have a wonderful weekend!

I can honestly say I've never had a BELT before!
