Now and Then

Mariah created this wonderful series of posts recreating modern day outfits based on personal style of old-school icons. Basiclly she is showing us what those incredible ladies would be wearing nowadays if they were still alive. There are many of my favourites amazing Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich. How incredibly spot on are those comperisons? I'm swooning over the Elie Saab's low cut evening gown! Dears, if you could embody an icon, who would it be? xoxo

Ps: I'm loving this dress too.

That white dress is to die for and I've always been a big fan of ties. I love the Annie Hall, Katharine Hepburn, Lauren Bacall look.

I agree with Felicity - true style never goes out of date, and it also shoes us that these ladies were true style icons.

Happy weekend!

I loved the Eva Peron look on her blog. I've always liked the masculine suit pairings that Katherine Hepburn would wear.

I love the idea of all those classy women who didn't have swarms of stylists around them, they shopped, they picked, they strutted. SO different now when you see a celeb and now she didn't pick out her won outfit.

What a neat idea, going to go over and look at more. I tend to like menswear so I would probably say, Katherine Hepburn and Lauren Bacall but Audrey, well she's Audrey so I loved all of her looks as well.

So classy! Love the current day white dress! Some people have said I pull off the Audrey Hepburn look well, but I'm not so sure. I'd need to get bangs again, I think :) Happy Friday!

oh definitely audrey. i grew up with her films and the aching desire to have a ballerina neck like hers...ahaha. but looks aside, i just adored her sweet and graceful personality and tenderness.
buon weekend dear!
