Home Inspiration: Enormous Family Photos

Tuesday, February 1, 2011

Brilliant! I promised myself that when Balazs and I have kids, we will try to capture all the little moments on camera and then blow them up into enormous pieces of art! Don't you just love this family creativity? They must have a giggle each time they walk into their kitchen! Dears, what do you say? xoxo

P.S: You don't want to miss out on their home tour!

i agree with jillian-- it's lovely, and i really like how it gives your house that personal touch, but without being so "in your face"!

I've desperately wanted to do this myself...love the effect! I think you have to do it with pictures like that though...BIG faces like that might be a little creepy ;) beautiful beautiful beautiful! xoxo {av}

I love family photos turned into oversized art. I was thinking of doing that for my family room but it was a little bit too pricey ... still looking for a more reasonable solution ...

Adorable! There are also a few painters that will take a photo and make it "art." My husband and I have a few of these hanging on our walls.

Oh I love it!
I'm single, and have decided that I'd like a photographer to take a picture of me and some of my closest friends here in Vancouver, in a "family portrait", old-school style, with pipes and no smiles, and maybe a couch in the middle of a field....

Cute. And I love her dress, it's so 50s chic.

Oh, I just love this idea! I also love how they are all in rubber boots and she has these cute little green shoes on...perhaps she changed for the photo? LOVE the idea, the style, inpsired me!!

What a wonderful idea to blow up family pictures. It's so simple and brilliant. As a photographer, I have too many pictures to count, especially of us all--extended and immediate family. I'll definitely blowing some pics up this year.

Really great idea. And you are right, it is important to keep record in photos of your family life, kids. Kids grow up so fast.

oh, that's super creative, especially in a modern house where art is the focus! very cool.

That photo is great! This might sound weird, but I think it works because you can't see their faces...that way its not such a narcissistic thing when its that big...

Also, I'm hosting a giveaway this week so be sure to check it out!
