Fashion Trend: The Long(er) Skirt

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

According to Glamour Magazine, midcalf skirts are back and ready for take off. As it seems, the trick to pull off this look is to keep the proportions in check by pairing the skirt up with shorter (fitted) tops or tucked-in tees. She looks polished but oh-so-modern at the same time, don't you think? Loves, would you try this look? xoxo

P.S: More fashion trends!

Looks gorgeous on her! I think though that it would make me look slightly frumpy?
Have a fabulous day!!

I love this look on other people ... definitely curious to see how this type of skirts looks on me. Honestly never tried one. I think it is also important to have a nice pair of mid height high heels -flats won't go here

You know, I feel like my hips are too wide for this trend. I've got those relentless birthing hips that have caused me problems since high school. (And I don't even have kids!)

LOL

I hope you're having a great week!

I will definetely give this a try! As you mentioned I think it requires a shorter top and also a pair of heels.

I have a hard time believing you can be too short for this look??

I love this skirt length and more folks can pull it off then they think...I'm in. xo

I love the look on her, especially the shoes, but I'm so short (barely 5ft) that I don't know if a longer skirt would look fashionable on me?

Laura said...

I want to, but not sure I could style it right! Also afraid it would make me look even shorter than I am.

i saw a calf length skirt yesterday from Gorman. I loved the print but wasn't sure about the length, it's not a style i've really done before. i think because i know heels would work best with it and i'm hopeless when it comes to wearing heels!

This is wonderful. She looks so feminine but funky. I have a calf length skirt but find it really hard to style.
