Crêpe And Pancake

Monday, February 21, 2011

On my goodness, how good do those pancakes look? I rarely eat them savory (I'm more of a sweet type), but I'm sold. For a whole list of impressive sweet and savory crêpe/pancake recipes check out the NY Times slideshow! Who said that pancakes can only be for breakfast, right? Darlings, what's your favourite type? Do share:) xoxo

I simply love crepes. I like them savory with fresh basil and mozzarella or sweet with nutella and bananas - drool!
I made some almost inedible gluten free blueberry pancakes this weekend, icky.

Oh I am such a crepe fan! I hate them almost everyday I think when I lived in Paris. I agree with the above reader that nutella and banana is the best sweet and I enjoy a good turkey, mozzarella and basil savory crepe as well.

Laura,haha... each time I'm in Paris I can't get enough of the nutella crepe from the local little street stands:) They are so yummy and I love watching the guy making them:)

Pancakes are a weekend morning favorite around here starting in the fall until Spring arrives. I make Pumpkin Pancakes in the fall and in the winter I make blueberry pancakes, bananas foster pancakes and my son's favorite? "Who Cakes". We call them Who Cakes because they look like something served in Whoville a la Dr. Seuss. I make a batch of blueberry pancakes and a batch of Cheddar pancakes. Then we stack them in lovely stacks of blue and orange. Best flavor combo EVER!
Best,
Tina

Yum! I have to admit... I've always been more of a pancake girl, simply because the crepes my mom tried to feed us growing up were rather... disgusting. Maybe I should give them a try now that I'm 'older and more refined'... or something like that. ;)

Mmm mmmm mmmmm those look amazing. Breakfast food is my favorite kind of food. I love thin crepes with strawberries and cream. These kind of posts are dangerous, I have no food in my house! I'll have to make a junk food run later :-P
