Trend: Flared Pants

Wednesday, January 26, 2011

I'm quite loyal when it comes to wearing my skinny jeans but lately with the flared pants trend coming back, I can't stop loving that wide-leg-retro-70's vibe type of look. And what's even better: according to Glamour, if you go with this style that covers the whole lenght of your leg but the tips of your shoes - it’ll make your body look sleeker and your legs seem longer. Bingo! Loves, would you wear this look? xoxo

P.S: I took part in Rali's Guest Series called "Right now". You can see her interview with me here!
P.P.S: Stay tuned for GIVEAWAY Wednesday...

yes!! wearing a pair of dove-grey flannel flares today. only i don't like the wide leg flares AT ALL - they must fit snugly at the thigh and waist or else you look like having elephant legs. must. not. see. that.

love how they elongate your legs with nice platforms - cute trend, i am all for it!

I love this look a lot - I cannot wait for spring to start wearing my wide leg jeans. And I totally agree with Glamour - these pants make your legs look so long (something the skinnies couldn't do)

LOVE these pants. They look so chic. I have a pair, but though being a skinny girl, I have really wide hips, and I'm not sure if they make me look bigger than I actually am.

Yay for the flared pants coming back! Those of us who are "pear shaped" kind of benefit from pants that are larger on the bottom. ;)
on my way to read your interview now. :)

I love those but I don't think my petite body looks good in them. Sniff.

never really been a fan of flared jeans.. but always liked looking at outfits with flare jeans, just to see what they'd match it with:) Because wearing flared jeans you always have to wear heels on.. ahh well:) i like it on these ladies.

I want to try out this trend but I am finding it difficult to find just the right pair for a petite lady

I can't deal with the uber flared no matter how in style they might be but the first pair is pretty cute and very do able. xo

I'm not sure about flares as yet. They do elongate your legs but I'm not happy about tucking my top in after so many years!! However these girls look great

I love flared pants. The more high-waisted the better!

traci zeller designs said...

I've never loved the skinny jeans on me, so bring on the flares! Although I'm not sure I can do the tuck in just yet ... ;-)

Love, love love this round up. Lately i've been trying to push myself to wear some flares...this is my inspiration :)

Panda said...

oh yes i LOVE the wide legs! yay for the come back!!

Jenarcissist @ the closet narcissist said...

I'm wearing trouser jeans today, actually. I normally prefer low-waisted jeans, but I think with the shape of these, I'd prefer it slightly higher, though not high-waisted. I love how they make my butt look, though! :)
