Heavenly Hot Chocolate

Monday, December 6, 2010

After a busy weekend my Balazs came down with a massive cold this morning, so he will be spending the day all wrapped up in a blanket on the sofa. Whenever one of us has an "off day" I make a super-delicious hot chocolate with marshmallows from Jamie's old school recipes to make the whole thing a bit more bearable. It’s very easy and it takes only about 3 minutes to make. The trick is to bring the milk to a simmer and while it's heating, put a tablespoon of choccie powder (we love Cadbury Hot Choc Chunks), sugar and add a little warmish milk from the pan to each mug. Pour the rest of the simmering milk into a plastic jug (screw the lid on) and shake it for about 5 sec. (I dance like crazy around the kitchen doing that) and that is it! Put the milk to the mugs and enjoy the most amazing foamy mug of chocolate goodness :) My Darlings, how do you like your hot chocolate? xoxo
