Super-sized Doily

Monday, November 1, 2010
How super adorable is this mega doily rug inspired by vintage doilies (my granny used to have them all around her house). Do you use rugs in your home? I'd love to hear...xoxox

wow, i would LOVE to have one of those in my living room! we still need rugs on our wood floors, but my husband is kind of a cheapskate ;)

That is pretty amazing, and it looks so beautiful against the hard wood. I have a rug in the living room, but it's not nearly as pretty as that doily rug!

This looks so comfy and warming! I love that first image of the bare feet, looking so cozy against the soft doily. Sigh, none of our rugs are this pretty either :)

Fun fact:its all handmade out of a cotton rope...and it takes her up to 6 weeks to finish one rug!

My grandmas both used to use the doily rugs. The one you showed is a lot larger than theirs, but certainly along the same lines. Very cool!! I don't have one of these, but I wouldn't mind one!

Wow this is great... some people are really super talented
However it must be a bit of a pain to clean it or vaccum it (sorry that's the practical mama in me talking). I guess if you have no pets and no kids, that works :) xx

This is wonderful! I just bought a little sheepskin scatter rug at Ikea yesterday. I've been walking back and forth across it barefoot ever since!

That is beautiful. I was on the hunt for a rug a couple months ago. It had to be big and kid friendly. None of the one's I liked fit and the one's that fit I didn't like. I looked everywhere! Finally I settled for a middle of the road one that I at least liked the colors.

Actually, I have to buy a new rug for my home. I'd love to schedule a trip to Morocco and buy one there. I love their style though this one in the picture is pretty awesome!
