French Manicure

Thursday, November 18, 2010

I'm the first to admit that I'm hopeless when it comes to nails. I have about 3 different colours of nailpolish and I rotate them depending on my mood (or free time). I am dying to try one of those bold French manicure color combinations. They give such a sexy vibe and the plum & gold combo is beautiful. Darlings, would you be brave enough to try this look? xoxo

Love it! And I totally would :)
I am hopeless when it comes to nails as well - but in the opposite way as you. I am sure I have at least 50 different colors of nail polish and I love to change color at least 2-3 times a week!

Have a great Thursday dear :)

I never liked French manicures until now. These are so modern and fresh!

I am so bad when it comes to manicures..I have zero patience. I end up with clear! now my toes are a different story-love the pedicure, massage etc.. and I love trying fun colors. This is quite interesting-I would try it!

i'm bad with polish because i never give it enough time to dry before i get it chipped and messed up. i really do want to add more colors to my small collection of about 4, and these are beautiful!

That's Not My Age said...

Oh yes definitely - I'm rubbish at applying nail polish so I'd have to get a proper manicure, there's no way I could do that myself!

I haven't worn nail polish in about 6 months. Just too hard to keep looking nice when I'm working on jewelry all the time. Those nails are very cool, don't think I'd do it though. I'm a red, pale pink or dark purple girl. Maybe I'll get brave over the holiday and give it go, feeling inspired now.

These are so fun and modern! I'm including this in the weekly roundup this weekend!

Wow! This is such a wonderful spin on a traditional french manicure!

Danielle said...

I like this spin on a french manicure much more than that fake nail with only the tip having a color. I actually hate when girls do that. but this look is classy and adorable. My favorite is the black and gold ( the could be my love for the boston bruins talking) very cute diana!

Totally with you on being bad with nails! But I would love to try this look :)

Oh I have tried this look before! But it's hard to pull off a real "polished" look. I tend to have a shaky hand! I've always liked bold color combos like this.

Of course I would try it and I love the plum and gold...

I've always wondered why there's 'French' in French manicure, knowing that I don't ever see any French mani in my home country...

those are great & so different! love the plum/gold combination!

I love those. Beautiful color combinations.

Normally not a fan of french manicures, I am drawn to the plum/metallic combo. I think that it would be really fun for a Christmas party/New Year's with a sparkly polish!

I am terrible with nails too, its usually clear polish for me. How lame is that

photohogger said...

These are pretty, but I really fell in love with the manicure Glamour did on Jessica Biel - where the 'white tip' part was actually a half-moon near the cuticle - like the moon shape some people naturally have. I did it myself in pink and silver for a wedding this summer. It was also seen on Samantha in SATC2 :)

I've always wanted to do something like that on my nails but am never quite bold enough!!

Oh i just love this look!!! i am dying for a manicure right now.

Diana said...

I love that look, but my fingers are much too sausage-like to try to appear dainty and polished.

Sarah said...

I would do this in a second! The only problem is I would have them all chipped up within 24 hours and then I would be sad. It's better to stick to my nude colored mani to avoid the polish-chipping depression.

Diana Mieczan said...

Smita, I have to check this out:) Sounds really lovely.

Caroline of Salsa Pie said...

Ohhhhhh--I like all of these. I saw in Latina magazine one day this gorgeous reverse french manicure--so it was clear on the base of the nail and a elegant thin black strip on the nail. It was very chic. On my list for my birthday is a manicure--maybe I'll try one of these.

Kelly Leigh said...

I am forever painting my nails, but the french tips are so hard to do! especially with my left hand..

omg soooo fun! never seen this before.. i would definitely try it! xo
