As my Balazs is a movie translator it's only natural for him to love all things movies and luckily for me (and him) I share his passion. Our taste in movies is not always the same but we have a system to make it all work and there are always a few classics we often go back to. I am over the moon with those movie posters. So cool, right? Dears, what are your top three movie classics? xoxox

Grease, Dirty Dancing, Forrest Gump are mine :) Eternal love!
That's tough....maybe Star Wars, The Holiday and The Royal Tenenbaums...
Cheers darling, have a great week! xo
Little Women, The Holiday, So I Married an Axe Murderer.
I love Psycho, The Godfather and back to the future. I love movies, too. I'm really taking advantage of my netflix subscription these days!
have a great week, Diana!
I could not possibly pick just 3. I know I would write them and then throughout the day another movie would pop into my head and I would be mad I left it off the list. I LOVE movies. When other kids were watching cartoons on Saturday mornings, I would watch the old black and whites. The Philadelphia Story with Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn and Jimmy Stewart is probably my #1 though.
...believe it or not..I was not brought up really with tv. I never watched any wizard of oz...grease or anything until highschool..ashamed LOL! I really liked sixteen candles...lets just say that was introduced not too long ago! (Still never seen star wars....)
Oh no, 3 is not enough! I guess I love the old classics, Roman Holiday, Notorious...but Pulp Fiction was a fave for so many years :) (And so cool & fun Balazs is a movie translator!)
Grease is definitely up there and Shawshank was a great poster (And movie!)
That sounds like such a fun job!
What languages does he translate from/to ?
xoxo

humm let's see... I will go with : Todo sobre mi madre (Almodovar), Amelie Poulain (Amelie in the US) (Jeunet), Jackie Brown (Tarantino)because I had the poster in my room when I was younger (a long time ago booo) xxx
Dirty Dancing, Ferris Bueller's Day of and The Breakfast Club!
pulp fiction is very legendary. i love uma thurman there. very fierce.
i love seeing vintage posters, and young john travolta does look very attractive ;)
I can never narrow down the movies I love. Grease and Pulp Fiction are two great ones, though.
I hate having to pick favorites! I'm such a movie lover that it's like picking children! There are the classics that I always find hard to turn off Dirty Dancing, True Romance, Forest Gump but boy oh boy! I could go on for days!
xo tash
I have never seen any of these movies. I am not a movie fanatic at all.
I don't know if I could pick without some serious thought. But Almost Famous would be on the list without a doubt.
Ramblings of a Small Town Girl
I have great memories from all of these movies.
But favorites... will be
Doctor Zhivago
The Double life of Veronique
The unbearable lightness of being... among others:)
Have a fab day!
I've watched Grease so many times, I'm pretty sure I can say the lines before the actors do! The movie poster would be awesome to have! It's definitely a classic.
Yes, Grease is definitely one of my classic favorites too! I also love Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Can't Buy Me Love, Seven, and Old School.
xo
Valerie
you should definitely get some of them!
Jeanette, I am crazy for the old black and whites too and Marie I love your picks!
Chiara, he translates between English, Hungarian, Spanish, Italian and sometimes German

Green Card, Goonies, Grease, Some Like it Hot, Girl's Just Want to Have Fun (with a very very young Sara Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt)..the list goes on. I love movies too. I like that you guys have a system for making it work. We both have about the same taste for the most part in movies. Although, I really don't like any of the old gangster movies like the Godfather and every guy LOVES those! :)
Ahhhhh....St. Elmo's Fire, Pretty in Pink, (anything with the "brat pack" really) and I love The Family Stone for the holidays!
Best,
Tina
P.S. I am known to sing Rizzo's song from Grease when I've had too many martinis..... :)
I'm ashamed to admit that there are so many classics I have not seen! My husband is a movie buff as well so he's slowly been making me watch all the oldies I've missed out on! I do LOVE Grease though!
Just 3?!?! Gone with the wind, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Rosemary's Baby, and the list goes on and on
I used to decorate my room with movieposters, but that is a few years back now :)
Ah, I have so many favorites, but I'll have to mention Dirty Dancing, Bram Stokers Dracula & the Lord of the Rings series!
Have a nice evening dear :)
Good old Grease!!
Enjoy the new week, sweet Diana xxxx
Movie translator!? So fun!
Those movie posters are cool. I'd have to say my classics are The Holiday, Sixteen Candles and Sleepless in Seattle.
Wearing It On My Sleeves
CRAZY about that star wars one
what a cool job!
top 3 classics would have to be:
1. Bonnie & Clyde
2. Rear Window
3. Breakfast at Tiffany's
:)
Oooooh, SO difficult to narrow it down to just three, but I'll try:
1. Stealing Beauty (gorgeous scenery and gorgeous Liv Tyler)
2. Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (the original)
3. Braveheart (BEFORE Mel Gibson became a huge D-bag). Or Moulin Rouge. Or Pulp Fiction. Or possibly Jaws.
See - I TOLD you I couldn't commit to just three....
Merci!
Shannan
