Horses

Monday, October 11, 2010
I have a random confession: I am totally scared of horses, although I still love them very much. I used to ride them years ago while living in Wyoming, but I fell one too many times and since then I can't bring myself to ride again. Look at these sweet photos of Nicole Hill's horses (Tink & Sissy), aren't they adorable?
Do you ride horses? xoxo

Ps: Last Friday I received a surprise package from Kelli... Here you can see what I won in her giveaway.

I'm not a rider but they fasincate me! On the drive home to Tennessee I love to see the horse farms in Kentucky, they're so magnificent, strong and beautiful!!

I have a friend who is scared of them as well and another who is majorly allergic to them. I have ridden horses before and had a fun time, but haven't in years.

Liesl :)

P.S. Congrats on your giveaway goodies!

I love horses. We live kind of in a suburban area that is "horse" country. My 4 year old daugther is obsessed! She wants to ride a horse whenever she gets a chance. She recently got to ride pickles.;)

I don't ride horses but I think after falling a couple of times I'd be afraid of them too. As for now I just admire them from a far until I get up the courage to ride.

aww dear I hear ya! They are intimidating! But maybe starting off slow by just going to a petting zoo with them might help you get used to them again. =)

Horses are beautiful but a little too big for me to feel comfortable around. I have ridden but it's not something I'm really eager to do again. Love their beauty though.......

I too was a little scared, but I've always loved them so one day I said to hell with it and starting taking lessons. I absolutely loved it and ended up buying a beautiful chocolate brown horse named Coffee. I had to sell him when I got pregnant and couldn't ride, but I really miss it!

Beautiful pictures though.

I'm still deathly afraid of horses! I don't really know why... they seem like such regal animals but I've never ridden more than a little pony!

I can relate, I fell quite a few times as a kid.... it's somewhat traumatizing...

I haven't ridden them since I was 12 or so! I wanted to go riding as an adult, but also seemed to have developed a weird fear (even though I've never fallen from a horse!)...it would be so much fun to do it again...

Great pictures!
I feel the same way. They're such majestic creatures but when you step up, you realize they're huge and you're high up.

Such a noble beast. I love everything about them. I have lived in the city all my life and only actually gone riding a few times but it was great. I can imagine how special it would be to be with horses every day. Love the images.

So awesome that you used to ride horses... and not so awesome that you fell off one too many times. I do so love these pictures, though. I've only ridden a few times at hardly a trot... so I guess I can't even call that riding, right?

Happy week to you! Can't wait to see what was in Kelli's surprise package! Off to check now!

I can so relate! I LOVE horses, but the last time I rode the saddle broke during a full run and I was drug a ways w/ my foot through the stirrup. Good times! Fast forward to now, my FIL just bought us a horse to have on his farm. I got on for a little bit, but had to get off b/c all I could think about was the saddle breaking.

awww Diana, this post made my morning! I absolutely adore horses.. but like you I have become quite scared of riding. I rode a ton when I was little and worked at a horse farm, but I haven't ridden in over 10 years and I'm sooo nervous about riding now. I'm really hoping to get back into it in the near future... I hope you might too! xo
p.s. I would love to see pics of when you lived in Wyoming if you have any! I'm dying to get there.. and what a beautiful place to go riding!
