The Home Of Swedish Meatballs

Wednesday, August 18, 2010
The other day I got all happy when I saw that Ikea has the new 2011 book out. I don't know about you girls but I adore their comfy sofas, French looking armchairs, clever storage solutions and I can never pass on their little bits and bobs. They totally inspire me...
...loving that mirror...and the shoe-shelf is practical...
...I can't get over that bookshelf....
...I have an eye for that side lamp on the left and the rug....
...We have one of those boards and I find them so useful...

Darlings, do you own a lot of Ikea furniture in your flat/ house?
Any favourites?

Kisses,

When we lived in the city-our entire apartment was re-modeled and everything was IKEA. It was a super cute and modern apartment, but I don't think any of their stuff will "go" in out new house. maybe some hardware or storage stuff...

Ikea is one of my guilty pleasures. Fortunately the nearest one is about an hour away, so I rarely go to it. I took my husband there once, and he was terrified and overwhelmed and said he never wanted to go back. ;-) At the moment we have two futons, and a bunch of little decorative things from there, but that's it.

i think IKEA is GREAT for inspiration - but to actually buy the stuff and use - not for me - it falls apart in less then a year - you pay for what u get - don't get me wrong i've bought from Ikea - but they aren't peieces that i take with me from place to place .. but sometimes u'll get some really great stuff that works for ages!

I think they are fantastic. I don't own any of their stuff though. I'd love to though.

They have some great stuff. All of my office shelving plus my desk is from them, and a few accessories here and there.

Hope you're having a fantastic week, sweetie!!

I love the Ikea lookbook too! So many great organization ideas and fun ideas for styling all rooms. I have a few Ikea pieces that I actually really love and were of course super cheap. I also just enjoy being in that store, it's like an amusement park!

Hi Diana! Thanks for the quick response on my blog ^_^

I don't have my own flat yet... in a couple of years maybe but I have always liked Ikea furniture! It is one the place I have bookmarked in my mind to shop for furniture when I am older. That and some UK supermarkets, they do some great decorative items :)

Speak soon xxxxx

For kids stuff love- Not in other spaces of my house.

I grew up in Toronto where there are three Ikeas so by the time I moved to the US and it seem like more of a 'new' thing here- I was really over it-

It doesn't last and falls apart.

I love shopping in the market place and I love the meat balls and elderberry sauce.

I used to have a lot from Ikea. They are the best place to get affordable well designed pieces. I still have a few shelving units that I've had for probably about 15 years now and they've lasted just fine :)

everything in our house is either Ikea or a hand-me-down from my grandparents. :P i guess you could say we're "broke chic." ha ha! (just kidding!)

we love love love our ikea bookshelf system (that's the one from my library post). but i think it's time for a new sofa. kittens have decided our ikea faux leather couch is really just a large scratching post. how nice, right? :P

p.s. I'm addicted to Ikea! I go there for a pick me up. We just bought a couple Billy Bookcases with the doors with windows. I can't wait to fill it up with all my books once they arrive from Canada!
