I mentioned before that I am playing with the idea of getting a tattoo...but as you all know I am way too wussy...Then yesterday while having a dinner I've decided that if I still want a tiny one in two years time, I might go for it then..for my 30th Birthday...but for now, I will be lusting over those :)...

What kind of tattoos do you like?

Kisses,

I have been considering getting a tattoo too-- but keep finding that I am ever so fickle and do not want something that I will regret years later. I have resolved that I will only get one if I can find a quote that perfectly sums up who I am, written in gorgeous script somewhere. Still have yet to find that magical quote!!!!

I love tattoos. Have several what I consider small tattoos and can't wait for a big one. I love to stare at color tattoos but black and whites on me personally are my preference. I will actually be getting a tattoo where the one in the first photo is. Can't wait.

I love the first tattoo. I don't have any, but I've always wanted one. Thanks for the lovely post! I'm new to your blog, and can't wait for more.

In general I'm not a big tattoo fan. I like the idea of them, but wish they only lasted for maybe a year and then disappeared. If you loved the tattoo still you could get the same thing again, or you could get something different, or go bare for a while. Someone needs to invent this!

I posted the first one on my blog a while ago too! I also like quotes!!! :) Short ones of course!

That is such a smart idea, waiting to make sure. I recently got my first tattoo and I LOVE it-- it's a dove on my wrist. But I had been considering it for over three years, and I'm so glad I waited because my first idea is NOT what I would want now, I made SURE I knew what I wanted!

And also, coming from someone who is a total wuss and has almost zero paint tolerance, I can tell you that it really isn't too bad! Not like I thought it would be. That first tattoo is beautiful, but I am LOVING the feather! So gorgeous.

I'm in love with the top two. My two tattoos are both bird related

i have 1 and i regret it! - at one point i wanted tats ALL over - but glad i didn't go that route .. but A LOT of times i "see" something that i REALLY REALLY REALLY want! - these are all really cute! .. i'm also scared of being 80 and having to explain them b/c they are all droopy - haha -- but GO FOR IT!

Phoenix Peacock said...

I haven't regretted mine for a single moment! I think if you are smart about it and have a design in mind for at least a year or two before inking yourself (plus it helps if you come up with the design yourself v. picking one off a wall) then you will know you will love it. If the idea doesn't sound so great at the end of the year, you probably shouldnt go with it for life! Impulse tattoos shouldn't be allowed!
I showed mine off here:

Wow, that feather looks so real. I love tattoos that have meaning. There are lots I love but would never get myself whether the design or placement.

I really like all of those above except for the wrist ones...not a fan of tats on the wrists! I have one on my neck - the sign for "water" and also a black cat on my back!

Love those Birdies and the Feather!
When it comes to Tattoos I love the more feminine ones for Women the Best. I feel they make a Women even more feminine. A Girlfriend of mine got a Beautiful Flower plant growing along here Hips side and all over her back looks stunning!
Myself I do not have one, why? Because I change my mind of what I like over and over again, which for closing for example is no problem. A tattoo can last a life Time. No it is actually not really right, it is not that I change my Style, it is, that I always need something new. So imagine with Tattoos, I would have no space on my body left to get a new one :D

I wanted one when I was younger but glad I didn;t get one! Plus, I don't think I would ever get a tattoo b/c I can still hear my dad's voice saying to me "if you ever get a tattoo, I will never talk to you again"...even though he is gone now, I know he would be disappointed...

I am not into tattoos for myself.
I am also glad that my husband never got inked.
I do like the feather one and I have a friend who has a really cool genesh on her arm that is super colorful- It looks fantastic now- hopefully the detailing and color will not take away from it in years to come.

I LOVE these tattoos!! I'm not one for them myself, but I so appreciate the beauty and artwork of it all. I always think of what Johnny Depp says of his tattoos: his body is his diary, and his tattoos are his entries. These are so beautiful!

That's the best way to do it, give yourself a time period and if you still want it by then, I say go for it...but make sure you're always thinking about what you want. I had my tattoo designed for a year before I got it and 6 years later I still love it. I also plan on getting my maiden name added to my tattoo which I know I won't ever change my feelings about!

Seriously lady, tattoos are not that bad. I'm scared of needles and I have 3 tattoos and am ready for my 4th.

I appreciate tattoos on other people, but I'm not a tattoo girl myself. I'm wary of the permanence of it . . . who knows if I'll still feel "passionately" about it 30 years from now. That said, the feather tattoo is really pretty. Curious as to what you get if you end up doing it!

I love the birds on the arm in the first picture! And those hearts on the ankles are soo cute! I might have to put those on my list of future tattoos!

I wanted to get a tattoo when i was fifteen, it was a true rebellious act then. Over the time i grew bored of tattoos because everybody had one. Now I'm thinking about having a turtle tattooed on my right foot. But I'm scared of things that are supposed to last forever...

Ooh, the feather one is awesome!

A 30th birthday one, that is a good idea! and probably smart to wait until then, haha - I know because I'm also a wuss about it even though I want one :) I'd get a tiny one...probably words..aaand that's as far as I've gotten..:)

Oh Sweetie, I couldn't do it!! I've always wanted one (maybe the word strength on my wrist) but I'm too afraid since its so permanent. I love piercings because you can always take them out. You can't do that with tats. Let us know what you decide!!!

this is so funny - i'm planning to do the same!

i love (small) wrist tattoos. that or upper shoulder is where i'm currently considering getting one.
my latest desire is to have a constellation done, but i'm not sure which one...

what are you thinking?

I like tattoos, and these ones that are lovely, simple, pretty and individual is the way to go. Oh and I would defiantly think to put it in a place that's not going to sag heavily (in old age) or stretch (when pregnant), there are quite a few things to consider!
Mind you me, saying this: I would love a tattoo. :) But, yes I think go for it when your 30, I'm only 18 so it might be just a tad hasty of me...

Jen said...

These are fantastic tattoos! Both of my sisters have them and I think they are beautiful but I'm a pansy and can't deal with needles so I'm a no go.

However birds, stars, hearts, butterflies that is what I would choose, anything that inspires me throughout life.

Abby said...

I don't think I'll ever get a tattoo because I tire of things easily to want one stamped permanently. But I really really love that first tattoo, of the birds. Not sure I'd ever tire of that one... it's simple and classy.
