Something Blue

Tuesday, July 20, 2010
As the tradition says each bride should make sure to find something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. As fun as it sounds, many brides have a hard time with it. I just adore Emily's take on "something blue". She went for a stencile "I do" on the buttom of her shoes:) Such an orginal idea, don't you think?
Do you have some cool ideas for blue? Maybe you used it on your wedding?

ps: Here is the full wedding album! ( it's so pretty...) and here is the how to.
pps: Thank you my sweeties for the great response on the Pet Time! post...I got so many photos and I couldn't be happier...I will share them all with you next week. For those of you who didn't manage to send your pet photo yet...Hurry up:)
You are the best!!!!

That's so cute with the Blue "I Do". I think I'm going to have powder blue flowers on my crown veil that I want to have someday.

oh that's such a cute idea! I'm shooting a wedding next week and the colors are blue and green (local sports team colors) so I guess they'll have the "blue" part covered!

wow I love the "I do" on the bottom of her shoes! My idea is an antique ring thats a giant aquamarine surrounded by diamonds, maybe. I don't know what else I would do.

Most people just do a blue garter, but I don't know I would like something different!

What a sweet and clever idea!

My wedding shoes were royal blue, inspired by Sex and the City I.

So great!! My only original idea is this:

(if I ever get married) instead of having a guest book, take polaroid pics of all the guests and have them sign them with their best wishes ;)

I'm not sure if this has ever been done before, it probably has (like, in the 80's), but I like to think I came up with it myself. lol.

are there wedding bells in YOUR future?? :):) (are you already married?)

I did something similar to this on my wedding day. Not for my something blue, but I put our wedding date and names on the bottom of my shoes that were already stamped with big red hearts from the manufacturer. It was probably my favorite detail.

Gorgeous photos!

I wanted to crystal the bottom of my shoes, but it never ended up happening. One of the wedding wants that got pushed to the side because of lack of time.

Love the blue under the shoes, I'm imagining all the peek-a-boos when she crosses her legs or kicks up her heels!

this is super cute!

i read about this tradition somewhere, which is kind of similar. the bride writes each (unmarried) bridesmaid's name on the bottom of her shoes. by the end of the night, whomever's name is most worn off is the next to be married.

i didn't do this, but the photo reminded me of it, and i thought you'd like it. :P

ps - the only blue i had were my eyes. lame, but well, i couldn't think of anything else. :D

I always thought some tiny little blue earrings would look pretty sweet with a vintage cream colored dress. Also, I like the idea of incorporating blue into a birdcage veil--maybe on the flower? We were married in a very laid back beach ceremony, but I always dream what I'd wear if we renew our vows! ;)
You always have the best pics. I love the shoes, and the cool cameras the bride and groom have in these.
