Dream Place: Small Rock- Huge House

Thursday, July 29, 2010
There are just a few houses I am completely smitten with and this 105-year-old mansion in Rhode Island's Narragansett Bay is one of my top favourites. Whenever I need a little inspiration I have a look around :). Mr.Wood is the lovely older man who owns this place and he makes sure that the house is in top form at all times! They even have a ping pong room.....(as a child I used to  play it all the time).

Happy Daydreaming,
xoxoxox

Ps:  Fun fact: the house has 65 windows...imagine washing them all:) Also, don't miss the full slide show!

This house is splendid ! I'd love to live there ! And no problem of washing the windows !
It reminds me the house of the aunt in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events ...

Enjoy your day !

Very clever the way the house is maintained, ..."by an ingenious method: the Clingstone work weekend", friends and family come to help clean the 23 rooms and all those 65 windows!!

If I lived nearby I would volunteer in a heartbeat.
thanks for sharing Diana, and I lUVE the ping pong room!!

Oh! So beautiful! Love all the windows... You are so practical to think about washing them. I think it might require some hired help :)

I always think the same practical way about white floors. Which I adore! But would I ever actually manage to keep them white?

Lovely day to you!
