Victorain Vacation House

Wednesday, June 16, 2010
If you thought relaxing vacations can only mean sandy beaches, think again! Discover the British countryside for a laid-back, soothing experience. This Victorian house would be prefect for a chilled weekend away from home. I adore those bright spaces with a beautiful vintage touch. Lately I have a new found love for pure white walls and high ceilings. Have a look and I bet you will love it:
How beautiful are those white floor boards...I love the sounds of squeaky old floor:)
How blissful..ahhh.... Balazs and I prefer staying in rented properties instead of hotels...It gives us the feel of the community and I love exploring new houses and the way people live :) Every time we travel I get a new inspiration on how to improve or add something to my home :)
For more beautiful houses away from home go here! You wont be disappointed..I promise!

It's already time to plan your summer break...So, my Darlings, dish it out! Where are you going?

Love,
xoxoxox

Of course I love it!! I would love to stay there!

We are taking periodic "weekend trips" because with the new house and 1,000,000 weddings we have (and showers + bachelor parties to go with them) we had to put our vacation on hold this year ;/

I just love it. A home stay can be so much more special than a hotel. And thanks for the link; I'll have to check it out for my future travels.

Regarding your comment: Thanks, but the walls aren't mine =) I am actually house sitting, so doing a homestay of sorts, while the owners are away on a month long vacation. I'll have to post pictures, their home is quite lovely.

Oh these are so beautiful! Speaking of renting houses, I am renting one for this weekend. It's actually a little preview so we can test the house out before we rent it for an entire week in August. It's a beautiful beach house on Fire Island. Sooo excited! xoxo

Oh wow, we are on the same wavelength today. I also did a post on a vacation with a vintage touch. Much prefer a place like this to a beach house.

I love Victorian houses! So much charm and beauty and natural elegance. I would love to stay on the English countryside that happens to be next to a beach. Can't we have both? haha

Simply lovely. What a great getaway place. Good idea to stay in other people's homes vs hotels for a good culture experience. Ever since I saw the movie "The Holiday", I've been thinking about that. Have a great day!

Oh, I love it. So bright and airy and look at all that uncluttered space! I dream of the day when the boys will be old enough to respect my decor (I figure when they move out, actually) and I can get that open feel back to my house.

Oh, I'd much rather go to the mountains! Which is why I'm doing just that next week. Yay! I can't believe I leave tomorrow night. Hmm. I should blog about this! ;)

I'm staying in a rental property for a few nights also, in a little tucked-away cabin. Ahhhh!
