I want to have more plants in my home and I am on a look-out for new inspirations. I often hear friends talk about planting lemons and lavender in their windows (yes, windows) and I crave for that too. After seeing those adorable table-plant displays I am on a mission to create a little green oasis in our home:)

I would love to know what plants or potted flowers you love and recommend?

Love,

I would love to have lemons and lavendar in my windows! How fun, convenient, beautiful, and good smelling! I am a black thumb all the way but I absolutely love orchids. I was given a few orchid pots as a gift and they are so pure and beautiful.

I think plants and flowers look so nice in and around the house but I'm afraid I can't help you there, I'm terrible with plants!

We have a beautiful fig tree growing and it's just sprouted it's first two figs! So excited about it. Easy to grow too - just need lots and lots of water. ox

hmm... I have tree windowsils in my livingroom. I have several plants on them, two of which I don't know the name right now :), yes I'm awful with plantnames. LOL

I've also got a small palmtree, a bonsai tree and orchids on my windowsil. But the above photos look really really nice. I would love to have a herb garden, but I live in an appartment :(

Have a great day, D!

Ooh I love plants but I;m not that good with them! The ones I've had most success with are succulents (need little watering) and herbs - basil especially grows amazingly well in a sunny window with the added benefit of smelling great and you can use it in cooking! Good luck LOL:)

Gorgeous arrangements. I've been doing some therapeutic balcony work - just added a Greek lavender plant, it's lovely!

one of my favorite things in the whole world: lots and lots of little plants inside a home :) Love , love, love that 2nd pic. You always find such great shots! xo

Very cute. We have a garden so we planted herbs outside - our mint is going nuts :)
We also planted lavender, but it didn't do so well...will have to try again! I love dill and basil :) YUM!

Love those photos. I have a tiny pot of basil and chives in my window right now, knock on wood they are both still doing well! I would love to have a lavender and rosemary plant, I should see if I can find ones small enough.

I especially like basil, it's easy to grow and keep and the aroma is wonderful!

Plants really bring life to a home. I have to admit that I really don't have much of a green thumb though. My poor plant just recently died after over two years. I am thinking of trying a window herb garden though.

Good luck sweetie! :)

I love these pictures. I can't have plants on account of me killing every plant that comes into my possession. I can't figure it out, I either over water or under water or forget to water. ha ha. I even killed a cactus once, didn't think that was possible. xo

Debby...hahahah..even a cactus? You are so funny:)

I love plants, but there lacks the green thumb in me. And I have been wanting to buy a little lemon tree plant for ages. I'll eventually get one :-)).

Hope you're having a fabulous week sweetie!

I want this look too! I love it! I once tried growing thyme, but I guess I have a talent with plants not surviving. I must learn what are some good plants that are easy to care for!

Because I don't have a garden here, i'm trying to find gorgeous pots to plant more things on my window sills too. I bought a beautiful lemon thyme plant from Liberty the other day, and it's happily growing on my window sill. It's like a little pet (I love tending to it and smelling my hands after stroking it), and it is currently making all my salads taste amazing!
