Biking In Style

Wednesday, June 9, 2010
I made a conscious decision that from now on I will give my bike more love and attention...Unfortunately, I neglected him for a while...but now I don’t even have an excuse..It's sunny and beautiful outside and its time to go get a new basket and feel the wind in my hair while I am cruising around my beautiful neighbourhood. I just wish I could pull off plaid pants and red-laced Converse like this cutie….That is what they call biking in style...Doesn't she look darling?

Do you bike? What is your favourite route?

Kisses my Lovelies,
xoxoxox
Ps: I adore that she has a rear view mirror!

i bike ALL the time down the shore - they made a new path in the woods a few blocks from my house - so Joe and i either walk/run/bike there .. but we're always taking the bikes and exploring the neighborhood down there or by his place (he lives 2 blocks from the beach in Staten Island) ...

I wish that I had a bike. I wish that I wouldn't get stopped by a train and tooooons of tourist traffic before I ever got to really start moving on my bike. Enjoy yours for me!

Unfortunately, I have cyclophobia (not lying) I have a persistent fear of bicycles. I have tried to conquer it, but to no avail!!! Of all things to fear.....hmmmm

I wish I could pull off that outfit! Good for you for getting out there and biking! I would go to the park to bike if I could!

I can't even remember the last time I rode a bike! I tend to like to take walks or rollerblade instead.

I don't bike (I'm deathly afraid of it), but whenever I see those vintage cruisers I think that maybe I need to get over it...

i loved that about living in Germany - EVERYbody biked! I had to once drive veeeeery slowly behind this little old lady, just biking away, right down the middle of the road, not a care in the world. :P

the hubbers & i bought very nice mountain bikes in Germany. they are spectacular! now we just need to fix hubbers hand so he bike pain free, and we'll be good to go. oh, and yes, please stop raining PLEASE! :P

glad you have some sunshine your way. :)

wow her rear-view mirror is amazing! I love my bike so much. I got it last year and blogged about it here:

I use it for nipping to the shops, around my local area, friend's houses and sometimes bike rides around parks for picnics. I love the feeling of riding a bike and it's so much more fun than walking!

Yes, biking is great! We like to bike as a family at weekends - that's what's so nice about summer! The only thing is, I don't look as stylish as the girl... it was hot today and I biked and my face was so hot when I arrived at my destination... Sigh.

This girl is adorable! Love that she is rocking the plaid pants, and I definitely think you can too if you like them, why not.
I on the other hand would have to rock the plaid in pedestrian fashion, since I can't ride a bike. My dad can't either, I'm thinking it must be a genetic thing =)

I've been so dreamy of biking lately. I don't bike now because I live in the city but if I lived out in the country or suburbs I definitely would. Love this photo sweetie! :)

I ride my bike to the station everyday! I love that in Cambridge everyone rides a bike and looks so chic doing it (all old fashioned wicker baskets and dresses).

Hope you're having a lovely week

I don't bike much...I only learned how a few years ago, in fact! And I am too afraid to bike in the city. I would like to pull mine out sometime though and ride in the park or something.

Oh, and I don't have such a lovely bike as hers :)

I love that bike. I have a very sharp bike myself, a transportation bike (very handy) with a big crate in front. hi hi, love it

I'm scared to bike in the city, too much crazy traffic. She looks adorable!

Last time I rode a bike it was a stationary one. lol Now that's broke, perfect excuse. I used to ride my bike everywhere as a kid ~ maybe I should get one, it probably wouldn't feel like I was exercising. xo

that is one cool chick!

i don't typically bike ride - too many miles to cover in one day, but had huge fun the last time i did. it was at versailles and we hired bikes to ride all over the grounds, was so much fun!

Yes that is a GREAT biking outfit!
Casual biking is the best, I keep a basket on mine to hold my purse and shopping as I breeze through the streets of L.A. :)

ps. I love that you refer to your bike as "him"... :) XXx

My bike is the same one i've had since middle school, so it's super little girly, haha.

I have to comment on the rising success of your blog. You keep getting more and more comments and you deserve it!

Biking is great. It is my main form of exercise (at the gym), but it is great outdoors too.

You should bike then! I haven't even owned a bike ever since I got training wheels. Yes, I know how to ride. haha Maybe if I had my own bike, I would enjoy it more. I wish I could pull off riding a bike with a long skirt. I love those cruiser/vintage '70 looking bikes.
